Complete DIY stainless steel cable railing assembly kits
Cables are ready-to-install in your deck, patio, balcony, stairs or other diy railing projects
All stainless steel cable railing assemblies come with cable railing hardware fittings for both ends of your cable run, all washers and fasteners necessary, 1/8 inch diameter type 316 stainless steel cable, and instructions. Order the diy cable railing assemblies in cable lengths in increments of 5 feet (up to 60 ft.) to provide sufficient cable for each of your cable runs. You will cut the cables to their proper lengths on site. Accessories, such as mounting tabs, cable cutters, and other aids are ordered separately at the bottom of this page.
It's easy to order
Step 1.
Determine your cable railing frame materials, wood or metal and the thickness of your end posts (posts to which tensioning and other mounting hardware will be attached).
Step 2.
Measure the length of each cable run. Add at least 6 inches. to your measurement.
Step 3.
Select the end fittings for your straight runs and those for stairs or severe pitches.
• For straight runs, you can use any of the stainless steel cable railing assemblies offered.
• For stairs or severe pitches, select from 300 Series or 500 Series cable assemblies that have fittings designed for that purpose.
• To use fittings that are concealed inside the end posts (Invisiware® receivers and Push-Lock® and Pull-Lock® fittings), you will need a few inches between the back of the end post and any structure (or other post).
Step 4.
Choose our cable railing assemblies from among the selections shown below.
200 series stainless steel cable railing assemblies
Use on straight runs. (Not recommended for stairs or severe pitches)
An Invisiware® Receiver tensioning device comes on one end. You will slide the receiver into one end post, then cut your cable to length and install the Pull-Lock® fitting on the other end and tension the cable using a hex wrench in the slot in the cap of the receiver.
Your choice of Invisiware® Receivers depends on the thickness of your end post.
Choose from among the three different lengths of receivers in the charts below.
Order separately CUT-OFF-KIT at the bottom of this page for cutting the excess cable from the Pull-Lock™ fitting when it is installed.

Use on straight runs or stairs.

Your choice of Invisiware® Receivers depends on the thickness of your end post.
To use on stairs or severe pitches
On stairs or severe pitches, the length of the receiver must be the same as the thickness of your end post.
Choose from three different lengths of receivers in the charts below.
You will put a crimp in the cable where it enters the receiver that approximates the pitch of the stairs. When you install the other end in the Pull-Lock® with threaded eye and tension the cable, the cable will follow the pitch of the stairs.
Instructions included with the order will illustrate how easily this is done.
At the bottom of this page order separately LE-6 lag eye (for wood post) or TT-6B threaded tab (for metal post) to provide means to attach the Push-Lock® with threaded eye to the end post.

Use on straight runs. (Not recommended for stairs or severe pitches)
Can use where there is not sufficient space between the back of one of the end posts and a structure or another post to install a concealed Invisiware® receiver tensioning device but where the other end does have sufficient space to install a Pull-Lock™ fitting.
An Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye tensioning device comes on one end. You will mount the Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye on one end then cut your cable to length and install the Pull-Lock™ fitting on the other end and tension the cable using an open end wrench to tighten the Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye tensioning device.
Order separately CUT-OFF KIT for cutting the excess cable from the Pull-Lock® fitting when it is installed.
LE-6 lag eye (for wood post) or TT-6B threaded tab (for metal post) to provide means to attach the Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye to the end post can be purchased at the bottom of this page.

Mount the Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye on one end. Cut your cable to length and install the Push-Lock™ with threaded eye fitting on the other end and tension the cable using an open end wrench to tighten the Adjust-A-Body® with threaded eye tensioning device.
Order separately LE-6 lag eyes (for wood post) or TT-6B threaded tabs (for metal post) at the bottom of this page, to provide means to attach the fittings to the end posts.

Can use where it is not practical to use concealed fittings (such as the Invisiware® receiver or Pull-Lock™ fitting) on at least one end. An Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt tensioning device comes on one end. You will mount the Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt on one end then cut your cable to length and install the Pull-Lock™ fitting on the other end and tension the cable using an open end wrench to tighten the Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt tensioning device.
Order separately CUT-OFF KIT for cutting the excess cable from the Pull-Lock™ fitting when it is installed and the DRIVER HB-6N hanger bolt driver for use with a 5/8 inch socket to make screwing the hanger bolt into the post easy. Both items can be purchased at the bottom of this page.

To use on stairs, you will have to drill your hanger bolt holes at an angle (or consider 500 Series above).
An Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt tensioning device comes on one end. You will mount the Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt on one end then cut your cable to length and install the Push-Lock™ with threaded eye fitting on the other end and tension the cable using an open end wrench to tighten the Adjust-A-Body® with hanger bolt tensioning device.
Order separately the DRIVER HB-6N hanger bolt driver at the bottom of this page for use with a 5/8 inch socket to make screwing the hanger bolt into the post easy.
If used on stairs, also order separately LE-6 lag eye.
